First let me point out how much I love the title of this book. I was so drawn to it because of it. Second, I'm a sucker for books that involve trips. I've read my fair share, which is why I probably have high expectations. The Land of 10,000 Madonnas did not disappoint! All the characters in this book were very distinguishable and thats great. Kate Hattemer has a very descriptive way of writing which makes it easy to start and finish the book in one sitting! Yes, I did just that.

As far as the story goes, I loved diving in and feeling like I was a part of this amazing trip! And, in Europe! The emotions that come through with Hattemer's writing also made me enjoy reading which is why I couldn't put it down. Who doesn't love a book that makes you feel all the feels? I laughed, I cried, I squeezed the book in a hug once or twice! It's almost an inspirational read. You have these people who just lost someone they loved and are trying to cope, and then he is living on through everything and all of them and it is so amazing and beautiful!

I'd recommend The Land of 10,000 Madonnas to everyone basically! It's a smart, loving, coming of age read that would benefit anyone and everyone!
