An undercover MI6 agent is sent to Berlin during the Cold War to investigate the murder of a fellow agent and recover a missing list of double agents.
Atomic Blonde is based on a 2012 graphic novel, in which tells the story of Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron), a top level MI6 agent who is deployed to Berlin to recover a sensitive list and assassinate a double agent. Sure, the movie can be described as another James Bond and Jason Bornes type of movie. It earns its rights to be call that. The movie is full of incredible moves. It's raw and gory. So if you're fan of actions, then you'll like Atomic Blonde.
What's best about Atomic Blonde? Watching Lorraine beating a fool or two. I loved watching her in style kick these macho men. There's a stairway action that goes into depth and it makes the movie so memorable. Seriously, this scene is about 5 or 6 minutes long and you just admired her moves. The style and the soundtrack of the movie helps too. In that scene, you'll realize that Lorraine is a wonder woman. A woman not to mess with because she is capable of doing anything. And those that plan to get in her way, will fail.
As a fan of Charlize, I simply enjoyed playing this role. She was perfect. Her coldness, her style and persona, it all helped bringing Lorraine from the graphic novel come alive. With all her roles, Charlize will keep the audience on their toes, waiting for the next move. And she sure did get some moves in Atomic Blonde.
Overall, Atomic Blonde was simply satisfying to watch. Lorraine is a top action heroine, that will make the audience pleased.
